The Whole Student Initiative is a peer-education model between Middlebury College and Middlebury Union Middle School, where students led health workshops with middle-schoolers regarding different verticals surrounding adolescent health. After being selected to attend the Mellon-funded UNH “Summer Institute of Public Humanities,” I served as the Anti-racist Pedagogy Fellow on the Whole Student Initiative, designing the workshops and working with leaders to explore how to incorporate an inclusive and grounded model while maintaining integrity to the place of the town of Middlebury. I also led the sexual health pod with two peers and assisted in conducting feedback and critical discussions of practice in the post.
