Amun is a writer, cultural researcher, programmer, and Kathak dancer working at the intersection of culture, art, media, and community-based practice. Drawing on interdisciplinary and visual storytelling approaches grounded in anthropology, her work moves between performance, film, and writing to think through questions of memory, identity, and cultural inheritance.
She aims to engage audiences beyond academic spaces, building community while challenging dominant sociopolitical narratives through thoughtful, collaborative cultural work.
Most recently, Amun worked on production and development with Modoxy Media and 64th Street Media. Currently, she is a freelance writer and independent researcher, and a contributor for Dazed MENA.
She is based in Dubai, UAE.
