Funded by the Conflict Transformation Grant (2023), this was a research project that started through an internship with Daakvaak exploring the digital community built around South Asian literature and how it creates meaningful parasocial relationships that preserve heritage while building community that moves inclusivity forward. It produced the “Dangerous Women Series” (see publications). It also resulted in the exploration of a growing collection of writing from Urdu feminist writers and a series of diary entries from readers and myself on how the work makes us feel in today’s changing political landscape.
